When choosing a reliable crypto exchange, consider these criteria
a. Trading Volume and Market Depth:
Exchanges with high trading volumes are generally more reliable, but popular platforms have more users and a lower risk of market manipulation. You can check trading volume data on sites like CoinMarketCap and CoinGecko.
b. User Security and Insurance:
Some exchanges offer additional security by insuring user funds. For example, Binance protects customer funds with SAFU (Secure Asset Fund for Users). Reviewing their insurance policies gives an idea of the exchange's reliability.
c. Platform Security and History:
Avoid exchanges with a history of cyberattacks. Review the platform's security protocols and measures it has taken against previous vulnerabilities. In particular, look for exchanges that offer cold wallets and multi-sig (multi-signature) security measures.
d. Commission Fees and Transparency:
Be wary of exchanges that offer low trading commissions but are not transparent. Choose platforms that do not have hidden fees and clearly disclose transaction costs. There may be different commission policies for different services such as spot, futures and staking.
e. Education and Support Services:
Exchanges that offer educational resources for beginners are user-oriented. Platforms that offer 24/7 customer support provide quick solutions in case of any problems.
